Scrapbook dreams Circle Journal

Back in October last year I decided to participate in my first circle Journal on the Scrapbook Dreams forum. A few weeks ago I received my finished Journal which has been all over the country. It is so amazing and I love it and thank you so much to the ladies that contributed their talent, time and money into probably the largest journal in the group.

The topic I chose was the A to Z of me as I thought it would be interesting. I chose to do an 8 X 8 journal due to the topic.

Welcome and sign in Pages

The sign in page was made up of tags made by each of the ladies with their names and forum names on. The tags:

Shell was the first to get my journal and this is her striking page

Lee was next with her lovely page with some bling and great alphas

Tricia with her beautiful page – I love those butterflies – one of my first cuttlebug dies too.

Next was Michelle with this gorgeous page I love the colours and flowers

Here is Tracy’s – Great idea with the flaps so there was more space to write.

And here is Ngaere’s Page – an awesome page with heaps of embossing

This is Jane’s page – I just love the school look about it

Here is Rangi’s page – love the clean lines (something I struggle with) and different colour rectangles.

and for the journals last stop it went to Esthers place and here is her lovely page which was great as there was enough space for a photo.

Scrappin’ Patch Shabby chic challenge

Hi everyone hope everyone has had a great week and looking forward to the weekend and school holidays ( I can’t believe this term has finished and we are into the second half of the year). My turm to set the challenge at Scrappin’ patch – check it out here

Onto the challenge – this has proven to be a popular challenge and will be remaining the same as before. This week the challenge is to do a shabby chic layout with earth tones AND include a bird/s somewhere on the layout. Please post your layouts in the gallery by midnight on the 17th of July to be in to win a RAK from the shop and if you do three other challenges during the month of July you are also in to be In the Spotlight.

Here is my example – I did not buy the Webster paper for these photos but when I rediscovered the paper in my stash I saw it matched the old sheet in the photo – its so cool when you find a matching paper for a photo.

Glimmermist has a new look!!

Glimmer Mist is the same great product with a Fabulous NEW Look! there are new colours coming out too including WHITE!!

This weeks Challenges

Just a couple of challenges happening this week -over at Scrappin’ Patch there is Annelie’ Designers choice challenge which is to have at least four layers on your layout and 50+ words in your Journalling and you have until midnight the 6th of July to be in the chance to win a RAK as well as a chance to be in the spotlight if you do another three challenges in July.

Here is my example for Annelie’s Challenge (looking a bit Nic Howardish not intentionally!!) The papers are by My Minds Eye

Then over at the Sketchbook Annelie has a colour combo Challenge using red, green and blue. I was a bit stumped at first as I was thinking dark colours but I came up with this instead.

You have until midnight the 5th of July to upload to Sketchbook’s gallery to be in the draw to win a RAK at the end of the month.

Scrappin’ Patch Take out Kit

looking for a page kit to take to a crop or retreat Scrappin’ patch has a few take out kits and few weeks ago I designed one using Basic Grey Wisteria papers. You can find this kit here and it is only ten dollars and includes the instructions to do the following layout.

I used a bit of my cardstock and made this card with the scraps from the kit

Scrappin’ patch Man Friday challenge

Liz has set the Man Friday challenge this month over at Scrappin’ Patch

The challenge is to do a male layout and use felt on it and you have until July the 10th to get your layout in the gallery to win a RAK.

Here is my layout using up a old birch paper I have had for ages,some Basic Grey boxer elements and a queen and co felt train.

You can upload your takes in the gallery by midnight Monday for your chance to be in the spotlight if you have done three other challenges at Scrappin’ Patch

My layout is when Brendan was three (almost nine now) and is using Prima Mommy and me papers.
